Despite travel restrictions, we all still need to learn, connect with our peers and grow our communities somehow. Traditionally, this work was performed by technology conferences held around the world, giving us all a great excuse to visit far-away places to learn about new technologies.

Subtract those far-off vistas, however, and the fundamental underpinnings of technology shows still hold up when virtualized. Watching slides, listening to speakers and asking questions can all be done in an online manner, as we did with Red Hat Summit 2020, OpenShift Commons Gathering @ Summit, OpenShift Commons Gathering on Community Development and all the other ongoing OpenShift Commons events.

To this end, the upcoming August Virtual edition of the Linux Foundation’s excellent Kubernetes-focused KubeCon European edition will be taking place August 17 through August 20 and I love that the theme this time around is “Keeping Cloud Natives Connected!”

And yes, you ‘could’ just watch the videos after the event on youtube at your leisure - but then you’d be missing out on all the opportunities to ask questions, join in chats and hop on over to the Red Hat booth and talk with experts and community members in real-time and even pick up some virtual swag.

Naturally, us Red Hatters have a lot to say about Kubernetes, so we’re actively participating in a lot of sessions, chats and virtual expo halls at the event.

So check out the schedule below, bookmark the ones that spark your interests and be sure to join in the chats, Q/A, ask the expert sessions and come make some new connections and reconnect with your peers across the Cloud Native ecosystem!

All times are Central European Summer Time (CEST)
