What inspired you to be a developer?
I get excited about everything I do. I've always had the passion to create applications that matter. I am passionate about new technologies, early stage companies and about the teams behind them.
Why did you choose OpenShift as your hosting platform?
OpenShift gives the freedom to quickly deploy applications without hassle. It is one of the few reliable hosting solutions for NodeJs.
What advantages does OpenShift give you that other platforms don't?
OpenShift is developer friendly. Deploying and redeploying is easy and it provides the ability to host a variety of applications. It also has a free plan which doesn't even ask for a credit card!
Tell us more about your application currently hosted on OpenShift:
What does it do? ConnectedMob provides free Facebook cleanup and personal analytics for everyone! Users can identify interesting patterns in their Facebook data and analyze their profile using easy to understand charts and graphs. Users can also search their profile to find objectionable content posted/commented using the search feature!
What technologies were used to create your app? NodeJS, MySQL, HTML5 , Jquery, Facebook Graph API,Twitter Bootstrap UI framework
What motivated you to create this application and what problems does it solve? It helps people to analyze their Facebook likes, posts and comments by showing data in an easy and an intuitive interface. It helps people find interesting insights in their own data and helps in finding trends and to understand how the person and his network have changed over time. In addition to just giving predefined metrics (charts/graphs), it also gives the ability to filter and find posts of interest. This helps people to not only search for posts but also find posts by comments and commented/liked person! I created it in a hope to bring analytics and BI to everyone for free!
