Tips on how to update postgresql.conf on PostgreSQL cartridge
Special thanks to @jcrossley for all the great tips! Here's a thread where he shows us how to modify postgresql.conf on a scaled app (on non-scalable apps, it's on the same/single gear). I didn't know it was possible - thanks!
Workarounds to sharing files on scalable apps
Thanks to @webadmin for posting a forum thread that goes over the issues of sharing uploaded files/themes/etc in the $OPENSHIFT_DATA_DIR on a scalable Wordpress app. We haven't implemented a solution yet. You will need to share data across gears using the database (sessions) or S3 - @fericean has implemented a cool photo sharing app using DIY+Go+MongoDB+S3. Thanks for sharing!!
Tips on how troubleshoot MongoDB connection issues
