Using Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes to manage multicloud Red Hat OpenShift clusters

24 mins

Red Hat® and Intel are long-time collaborators, with both companies partnering to produce a multitude of Red Hat software and Intel platform integrations over 25 years. As one of the leading providers of agile, cloud-ready network architectures rooted in open source software development, Intel looks to Red Hat to support their goals in finding the most flexible and adaptable technology, as well as providing faster app delivery for their end users.

Intel actively works within their ecosystem, like OEMs, CSPs, SIs, and ISPs, to make sure they can take advantage of the latest technologies to increase overall performance. As organizations move toward hybrid and multicloud infrastructures, Red Hat solutions like Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes and Red Hat® OpenShift® Data Foundation, are changing how DevOps, microservices, and cloud-native apps development perform in these environments.

Managing multi-cluster deployments

Cluster deployments are growing across teams of all sizes, leading to an increased need for solutions and tools to control, manage, and track multi-cluster deployments. Multi-cluster deployments can allow for more application and service ability and reduction in latency.

However, deploying multiple clusters also provides a unique set of challenges to many teams working within a hybrid and multicloud environment. Issues like compliance and security, making updates across multiple cloud environments, and deploying apps across multiple clusters, all factor into finding the best resource or solution for a team’s specific needs. These can be addressed by the Red Hat open hybrid cloud model.

In response to these needs, Red Hat offers a combination of solutions that can be used to not only monitor multiple clusters, but manage them across several different cloud environments.

In a given demo scenario, an organization could monitor multiple applications existing on fully managed Red Hat® OpenShift® clusters on Red Hat® OpenShift® Service on AWS (ROSA) or Microsoft Azure Red Hat® OpenShift®. Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes then integrates with Red Hat OpenShift to help teams manage workloads, build cloud native applications, and support developer productivity.
